A word from the director

A place to learn and grow together
A literate nation not only reads. It computes, investigates and innovates.
STEM International builds a strong emphasis on STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) under any Curriculum.
This is done effectively by combining the skills found in STEM (Science, Technology. Engineering and Mathematics) namely measurement, observation. Analysis, synthesis, data collection to name a few, as well as the content there and combine them with 21st century life skills.

- STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) skills for all students to develop into problem solving leaders in the 21st century
- Weekly virtual collaboration classes with students and teachers at STEM International School Kenya
- Low student to teacher ratio, inclusion classes for increased student success and self confidence our #1 goal !
- Innovation Thursday

Problem Solving
Students at STEM International learn that even problems in dance and the arts must be solved through STEM literacy just as in any other areas. Students at STEM from K3 learn to apply the Engineering Design Process to become innovative problem solvers.
21st Century Skills
Most Importantly, through STEM Literacy students develop 21st century skills namely collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, problem solving and leadership. Equipped with these skills we illuminate the ever more complex issues that govern the future of our lives. The child in then equipped to be a 21st Century Leader.
STEM Literacy
STEM literacy is critical because it has a profound and growing impact on our day-to-day lives. It helps us make critical decisions about all areas of our lives. It’s more important than ever for our youth to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sense of information. These are the types of skills that students learn by studying science, technology, engineering, and math—subjects collectively known as STEM.

STEM International is a wonderful place to work. My colleagues are smart, kind, and supportive. The school is well organized and efficient. But what keeps me coming back are the wonderful kids I get to teach and learn from every day. They are in the right hands.
